This is just a place to put out there for no one and everyone what I’m working on. There will something for sale at some point, but I have to make it first. It feels like I’ve done all this before, but I’m starting all over. We’ll see what happens.
I live in Heber City with my husband, two boys, dog Fern and cat Racket. I like to always be knitting something, and I started playing the cello for no reason a bit ago. For a while my big thing was pine needle baskets, and then it was pinning insects, then the rigid heddle loom and so on. I can also make an awesome birthday cake.
I went to the University of Utah, studied graphic design and received a BFA in painting and drawing in 2003. I worked at the Salt Lake City Public Library for a few years and then opened Frosty Darling, from 2007 to 2012. It was a boutique that sold handmade items by local artists and crafters along with old timey candy and kitschy gifts. Someone said it state fair wholesomeness mixed with a strange Warhol aesthetic- yeah pretty much.
Well, now I’m busy with mom stuff, so I’ve kept the expectations of what I need to accomplish artistically really low. It helps being a little bit older so I can more comfortably say “Ok, I’m going to focus on momming and I’ll get back to art stuff later.” Well, it’s coming up on later and pretty soon both boys will be in school all day so I’m gearing up for some serious artin’ and craftin’ I hope! I might just feel like watching TV.
